Lot of Quake Live action in the past, with the Intel GameOn Cup series starting in a couple countries, while the Nordic series already came to an end with mousesports player Magnus „fox“ Olsson on top. Anton „mouz|Cooller“ Singov beat Cypher to win Russian cup.

Unlike all other Intel GameOn cups the Swedish one was played a bit earlier and only allowing four players to proceed to the playoffs, the Swedish cup series already had fourth (and last) tournament yesterday. Our Swedish player Magnus „fox“ Olsson was looking for another victory after his triumph in cup #3 where he finished 1st without dropping a single map.

As the tournament went on, fox proved to be in good shape once again, as he went into the Grand Final with ease, where he met fanatic player Sebastian „Spart1e“ Siira.

In a thrilling final fox was able to take another victory by defeating Spart1e on three maps. Especially on the deciding third map, our Swedish Quake star demonstrated, that he got what it takes to win those close and intense matches by denying any possibility for Spart1e to gather a good amount of armour in the final minutes of tourney9.

The second mousesports Quake Live player, Anton „Cooller“ Singov from Russia had a real good time after IEM Dubai with playing as much Quake Live as possible. With lots of players signed up, Cooller made his way to the Grand Final pretty easily. In the final he met his Belarussian rival Alexej „Cypher“ Yanushevsky - who placed second at Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Dubai.

Both players were on top of their game, as the first map (qzdm6) started. Cooller tried a risky move right in the beginning by trying to attack Cypher on the Megahealth with nearly losing the Red Armour pickup - which turned out to be a brilliant move by the legendary Russian player, as he got both (Megahealth and Red Armour) on the next pickup. Throughout the whole map Cooller was playing much smarter than Cypher with timing all important items to perfection and delaying the spawn times of these, while Cypher had his railgun out to connect some insane shots.

After Cooller winning the first map (which was Cypher‘s pick), both players went on to tourney9 - yet one of Singovs favorites map in the entire game, as it suits his style of playing. After a couple of impressive rocket shots from Cypher, the mousesports player seemed to struggle a bit, while Megahealth pickup went back and forth. In the end Cooller fought himself back into the map and securing his tournament triumph by winning also tourney9 against Cypher.
